Artist: Lauren Pesta

Lauren Pesta of Mindfish Studios is a wonderfully talented student artist joining us from the Grandview Studio Arts program. We're impressed, and we think you will be as well.

"I am currently a junior at Grandview University studying Studio Arts. My art I am currently working on consists of small, intricate, cut pieces of paper. I use a lot of newspaper, magazine and cardstock. Each abstract piece I create tells a story of nature and infrastructure. Although my work is primarily abstract my creative range is wide. I enjoy drawing with cut paper but I am also a painter. Some of my work incorporates both mediums. I enjoy experimenting with different materials to create new stories."
