2019 Artist: Linda Folden

We love that Linda Folden of Des Moines will return to the Waukee Arts Festival this year.

"Linda Folden was born in Macau and raised in Hong Kong. She was greatly influenced by traditional Chinese culture and her love of sketching and colorings. Drawing inspiration from her life experiences…each piece reflects her thoughts, feelings, reflections, and emotions. From functional pieces with hand carved motifs to sculptures, each piece highlights the memories, and emotions that many people have experienced. Using pinch pot, coil, slab built, carving and cutting techniques, she hand creates each piece while employing various glazes, stains, and oxides to enhance each timeless work of art."
