Have you ever bought a new home and thought, "You know, these walls are blank. I think I will take up painting to fill them with my own art."?

Neither have we. We're lucky to hang someone else's art straight on our own walls. But, Luke Hubbard did, and because he kept on going after filling his own home, you can find his works at the Waukee Arts Festival.

"My work is contemporary abstract. I use painters knife to create energy and emotion through line, shape and texture. I like to look at things we see every day and break them down into the simplest of form to create an abstract setting. The end goal is a piece of work that is pleasing to they eye."
