Artist: Megan Ostrander

We're pretty excited about all of the new artists we have joining us this year. Morgan Ostrander is one of them.

"Light, as it falls on a face or on a figure, draws my attention and leaves me in wonder. I enjoy discovering the many hues and values that are represented in and upon the skin. I find joy in capturing them on paper or canvas and paint with both oils and pastels because of their ability to give life to form and light. I appreciate exploring a variety of subject matter but I always come back to the human form as I continue on my artistic journey. Drawing people in a way that displays their individual character and beauty has always captivated me because it allows the viewer to see an individual in a particular time and place through the lens of the artist. My current focus centers around the idea of work, our roles as we walk through life, and the ways in which we contribute to the world we live in."
